Voting Information

This page answers frequently asked questions that a voter might have in regards to the April 18, 2017 special election and will assist with absentee voting.

Who Can Vote?

You can vote in this special election if you are a United States citizen, a resident of the State of Minnesota for at least 20 days prior to the election and of the Dassel-Cokato School District 466, and 18 years of age or older by April 18, 2017.

When Can I Vote?

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017.

Where Do I Vote?

Any eligible voter residing in the Dassel-Cokato School District boundary may vote on the 2017 Bond at the combined polling places listed below:

Meeker County Dassel-Cokato School District Residents - Dassel City Hall
Wright County Dassel-Cokato School District Residents - Cokato City Hall

Absentee Voting

In Minnesota, you can vote early with an absentee ballot starting 46 days before election day.  Absentee voting will be available March 3, 2017 to April 17, 2017 for the Dassel-Cokato Special Election.

Note: The District Office will be closed on Friday, April 14 and absentee voting will not be available that date.

You will need to fill out a request for an absentee ballot. (click here for the application)
This application can be mailed, faxed, emailed or delivered to the District Office.
